Peter Rummel is Director of Infrastructure Policy Advancement at Bentley Systems, and works closely with government institutions and associations to develop and execute a vision how infrastructure will lead the way into a green sustainable future. During his over two-decade career, he has worked in different functions including technical work, sales, business development, and marketing. After starting in an engineering company with a focus on the exploration of natural resources and environmental engineering, Peter moved to Autodesk as they started to expand their portfolio into the GIS and geospatial industries. He then worked for international software and service provider Man and Machine for five years, ultimately leading the GIS team and geospatial strategy as business development director, Europe. Returning to Autodesk, Peter focused on the integration of a major geospatial technology acquisition, and the partner ecosystem in Central Europe covering the full Autodesk portfolio. He holds an M.A. in geophysics from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.
