TWIN TALKS MUNICH AT IFAT
EVENT OVERVIEW / INTRODUCTION
Infrastructure Policy Advancement, Bentley Systems’ thought leadership initiative, in partnership with German Water Partnership, is thrilled to bring the global Twin Talks series to IFAT in Munich.
Twin Talks are discussions that bring together leaders in geospatial, infrastructure and water management to explore the best global practices and their local applications. These discussions provide a unique opportunity to share insights from both successes and setbacks while showcasing regional infrastructure and water management leadership on stage.
Following events in London, Toronto, New York City, Rome, Warsaw, Frankfurt, Berlin and Cologne, Twin Talks Munich will gather industry leaders, policymakers, and practitioners to discuss innovative approaches to planning, approval and delivery of major infrastructure and water management projects in Germany.
The infrastructure for water management is one of the oldest networks and has a low degree of digitalization. In addition, systems for drinking water supply, rainwater management and wastewater are severely affected by the effects of climate change. Security aspects are playing an increasingly important role; this concerns the condition of aging systems, the ability to meet increasing capacity requirements, reliable reserves for storage, and an increase in threats of targeted sabotage or attacks during combat operations.
