Matt Gijselman is the Director of Infrastructure Policy Advancement for the Asia-Pacific region at Bentley Systems, bringing over 20 years of experience in strategy, public policy, and public affairs across the public and private sectors.

Matt has been instrumental in advancing infrastructure policy through initiatives focused on data-driven decision-making, mega-project management, new mobility, and sustainability. He has supported the delivery of Infrastructure Australia’s market capacity capability, addressing supply-demand challenges for Australia’s major infrastructure projects.

In his previous roles, Matt led government and industry affairs for Australia’s financial services sector and spearheaded the ‘new mobility’ strategy at NRMA, driving national reforms in transportation. As CEO of a university-backed venture, he oversaw the creation of a landmark AUD 1 billion education and research precinct in Australia’s newest city.

Matt’s leadership and expertise continue to shape infrastructure innovation and policy advancement across the Asia-Pacific region.
