Amelia Burnett is the Digital Financial Strategies Director in the Infrastructure Policy Advancement team at Bentley Systems. Based in Aotearoa New Zealand, she collaborates with stakeholders across finance, insurance, industry associations, and government worldwide to harness digital transformation and data-driven leadership for improved infrastructure investment decision-making. With over a decade of experience fostering partnerships to drive transformation in the infrastructure and construction sector, alongside 15+ years in strategic engagement and communications, Amelia is dedicated to advancing sustainable, resilient, and inclusive infrastructure.
Previously, Amelia worked in private consultancy and held leadership roles at the Global Infrastructure Hub, the G20’s infrastructure advisory body. As Associate Director – InfraTech, she led global initiatives with governments, multilateral development banks, and industry to increase investment in InfraTech-enabled infrastructure projects. She has produced G20 reports on InfraTech ecosystems, sustainable finance mobilisation, and infrastructure taxonomies.
Earlier in her career, Amelia held leadership positions in major UK-based infrastructure transformation programmes, including the National Digital Twin programme, the Construction Innovation Hub, and the Centre for Digital Built Britain, based at the University of Cambridge.
Committed to advancing systems thinking and digital adoption in the built environment, Amelia holds certifications in Inclusive Infrastructure and Public-Private Partnerships (PPP). She earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Auckland and is currently pursuing a Master of Sustainable Business at the University of Otago.
